Cycle training for adults

On road adult cycle training

Level 3 Cycle training for adults over 16 years of age, to build skills and confidence commuting by bike.

The course combines level 1,2 & 3 over a few hours and covers basic cycle control skills including starting and pedaling, stopping, maneuvering, signalling and using the gears on their bikes. Then you move onto the roads which gives you a real cycling experience so that you are able to deal with traffic. The course then covers dealing with hazards, making ‘on-the-move’ risk assessments and planning routes for safer cycling. When you reach Level 3 standard you will be able to deal with all types of road conditions and more challenging traffic situations.

You will need to have at least some experience of cycling as the course involves cycling on busier roads and more complex junctions.  These sessions take place at all times of year. Approximate 3 hours.

At present the course is running free! (Normally £65 per individual) Get in touch for more details.

We can happily provide a bike if needed or you can bring your own bike. It will need to be safety checked before use on any course.
