History of the charity

How our journey began…

BikeAbility Wales was started by Laura Bolton in 2004. Laura, who was working for Sustrans at the time, realised that there was no cycling provision for people with disabilities in South West Wales, so she decided to do something about it. With charm, determination and resourcefulness, Laura founded BikeAbility Wales to provide those in the area in need of extra physical support with the opportunity to cycle.  After she sadly passed away, a number of her friends and supporters of BikeAbility Wales were determined to continue the work she started, in her honour.
